#Patrick Mahomes isn’t happy with his ranking on NFL Top 100 list

Patrick Mahomes is taking note.

The reigning Super Bowl MVP wasn’t pleased with the NFL’s Top 100 list that shockingly ranked him fourth behind Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald.

Shortly after the final batch of rankings were released by NFL Network, Mahomes took to Twitter to broadcast a simple and concise message in the form of the note-taking emoji, signifying that he saw the ranking and would not forget the head-scratching order.

The 24-year-old was far from the only one to draw attention to the apparent snub, as many members from the football community took to Twitter to voice their grievances.

“Mahomes is 4? ??????,” former NFL safety and ESPN analyst Louis Riddick wrote via quote-tweet.

“No player in the NFL is better than Patrick Mahomes,” Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller wrote.

“Which 3 players are better than Pat Mahomes in the NFL?” former Giants lineman and SiriusXM host Geoff Schwartz wrote in a quote-tweet.

The list causes a stir each year as players and fans frequently feel disrespected, but 2020’s iteration seems to have irked more people than usual. The creators state that the list is based on rankings from players themselves, but it is difficult to imagine a universe in which Mahomes is the consensus third-best quarterback in the league by any quantifiable measure. In addition to his recent success in Super Bowl 54, he has one NFL MVP title, two Pro Bowl nominations, one All-Pro nomination, one Offensive Player of the Year award and became the youngest owner in sports this week after purchasing a stake in the Kansas City Royals.

The Chiefs, who recently locked down Mahomes for the next decade by way of the richest contract in sports history, appeared unfazed by the snub of their $503 million QB.

“Patrick was #4 last year and ended up with a ring and Super Bowl MVP #RunItBack,” the Chiefs official Twitter account wrote on Wednesday.
