#Little boy’s memorial for Chadwick Boseman will bring tears to your eyes

A 7-year-old boy set up a heartbreaking Avengers-themed memorial for Chadwick Boseman, the actor who played the Black Panther — his favorite superhero — in front of his Missouri home.

Kian Westbrook, from the city of Florissant, placed his Black Panther toy in a shoe box wrapped in black silk, a now-viral photo posted by Kian’s father, King Westbrook, shows.

The box was surrounded with flowers, an award metal and an Iron Man glove.

Kian is shown striking a “Wakanda Forever” salute to honor Boseman, who died Friday after a four-year battle with colon cancer.

“He was a good role model to me and black boys because he let me know black boys can be heroes too,” the boy told CNN. “When I found out he died, I felt very sad. I was crying and couldn’t stop talking about him.”

“He taught me to fight back and to never give up. He taught the world to be nice and have a strong family.” he added. “The memorial made me sad because he’s not coming back and I miss him. But I’m happy because I got to do something nice for him.”

Kian’s father told the network his son’s gesture was “beyond words.”

“It made me proud that he found a way to cope with losing his hero in a way that allowed him to understand closure. But he is still having a hard time,” King Westbrook said.

“I never knew it would touch as many people as it did. If Kian’s beautiful memorial can bring a smile to people hurting from this terrible loss, that makes me proud as a father.”

Mark Ruffalo, who played the Hulk in the Avengers films, also paid tribute with similar photos of two young boys who set up memorials with action figures.

“This is his power and impact on the next generation,” he tweeted. “#ChadwickForever.”

Boseman, who also played Black icons Jackie Robinson and James Brown, died at his home in the Los Angeles area with his wife and family by his side.
