#Mets’ last-minute trade deadline haul includes Todd Frazier

August 31, 2020 | 4:33pm

Todd Frazier is returning to Queens.

The Mets acquired the veteran infielder from the Texas Rangers on Monday in a flurry of moves before the 4 p.m. trade deadline, The Post’s Joel Sherman reported. They also dealt for righty reliever Miguel Castro from the Orioles and backup catcher Robinson Chirinos from the Rangers.

It was not immediately known what the Mets gave up in these trades. Frazier may be insurance for Mets third baseman J.D. Davis, who left the nightcap of Sunday’s doubleheader early with a left hip issue.

The 34-year-old Frazier spent two seasons with the Mets in 2018 and ’19 but has struggled so far in Texas. He has just two home runs and is hitting .241/.322/.380 in 31 games this season.

During his previous stint with the Mets, Frazier, who famously won a Little League World Series representing Toms River, N.J., hit 39 home runs in 249 games.

Castro is 1-0 with a 4.02 ERA in 16 appearances this season, while Chirinos is considered a defensive specialist.
