The track arrived on DSPs Friday (August 27) in two different versions. The first is a rip of the live version Jada performed at Verzuz that night with all the “ooh’s” and “ahh’s” from the raucous crowd. The second is the studio version in all its mastered glory.
“All praises, all burners, all razors/Hands down n-gga the game is all Jada’s/Something hot drop I get ’em in all flavors/He’s a dick, you pussy y’all neighbors,” Jada raps in the opening lines. “Yeah, two extra whores/I’m in the new Aston with two extra doors/With a quick flip I don’t try to stretch for more/One hundred percent powder, extra raw.”

People thought Jadakiss made up the freestyle on the spot at Verzuz, but blog-era fans know the song comes from Jadakiss’ infamous DJ Drama The Champ Is Here 3 mixtape from 2010. The 24-track mixtape is the third entry in Jadakiss’ fabled The Champ Is Here series started in 2004.
With “Who Shot Ya Freestyle” now on streaming services, fans hope the rest of Jadakiss’ legendary mixtape catalog will hit Apple Music, Spotify, TIDAL, and more. Earlier this year, the Yonkers legend checked off another career milestone when Def Jam Records revealed Jada surpassed one billion streams worldwide.
