OSHI NO KO Releases MEMcho Spring Visual

An OSHI NO KO spring visual has been released to commemorate the Japanese public holiday Greenery Day (Midori no Hi), which takes place on May 4 JST.

The visual features MEMcho with flower accessories, a white outfit, and her characteristic cat-mouth smile, partially submerged and surrounded by nature. A video version features some lines from the YouTuber and B-Komachi member about the season and ends with her wishing viewers, “Happy Spring!”

In February, it was announced that the third season of the OSHI NO KO anime adaptation will air in 2026. The new season will pick up half-a-year after the release of “POP IN 2,” with things largely progressing well for everyone. However, Kana has lost her previous cheeriness, and Ruby is in pursuit of the truth behind Ai and Goro’s deaths.

Two teaser visuals have been released, and the current staff credits for Season 3 show that series director Daisuke Hiramaki will be helming the show without assistant directors Ciao Nekotomi and Kuniyasu Nishina (who assumed the position in Season 2).

OSHI NO KO is based on the manga written by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and drawn by Mengo Yokoyari (Scum’s Wish), which ran from 2020 to 2024 in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump in 2020 and ended in November 2024. Yen Press describes it as:

Gorou is a gynecologist and idol fan who’s in shock after his favorite star, Ai, announces an impromptu hiatus. Little does Gorou realize that he’s about to forge a bond with her that defies all common sense! Lies are an idol’s greatest weapon in this outrageous manga from Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and Mengo Yokoyari (Scum’s Wish).
