#Orient Gets January 5 Premiere and New Trailer

A January 5, 2022 premiere date has been announced for Orient. The upcoming anime also received a new trailer featuring the opening song “Break out” by Da-iCE.

An advanced screening event will take place on December 12, 2021.

Orient is based on the manga by Magi’s Shinobu Ohtaka, which began serialization in 2018 in Kodansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine. It became serialized in the monthly Bessatsu Shounen Magazine (also by Kodansha) in February 2021. The manga has been collected into 13 volumes as of August.

The anime’s staff includes Tetsuya Yanagisawa (Senran Kagura: Shinovi Master Tokyo Youma-hen, High School DxD) as director, Mariko Kunisawa (Ascendance of a Bookworm) as scriptwriter, and Takahiro Kishida (Kageki Shoujo!!) as character designer.

Other staff include Jin Hibino (Assault Lily BOUQUET) as color designer, Hirofumi Sakagami (VISUAL PRISON) as art director, Hidenori Manaka (MAR’S RED) as photography director, and Hideyuki Fukasawa (FATE/GRAND ORDER THE MOVIE Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot Wandering; Agateram.) as music composer. A.C.G.T. is the animation production company. 

Meanwhile, the cast includes Yuuma Uchida as Musashi, Souma Saitou as Kōjiro, Rie Takahashi as Tsugumi Hattori, and Satoshi Hino as Naotora Takeda.
