One Piece isn’t exactly known for its small cast of characters, and while all the Straw Hats and the new characters (plus the almighty hunk of a man Shanks) have already had their character visuals released for ONE PIECE FILM RED, the upcoming Toei Animation-production released a short video today showing off the character designs of a bunch of fan-favorite characters, including Law, Koby, Bepo, and more.

 



 

Goro Taniguchi returns to the franchise for the first time since 1998 as the director on ONE PIECE FILM REDTaniguchi, who is best known as the director of Code Geass, previously directed the 1998 One Piece: Defeat Him! The Pirate Ganzack! short for the Jump Super Anime Tour ahead of the TV anime premiere in 1999. Tsutomu Kuroiwa returns from ONE PIECE FILM GOLD to write the screenplay for ONE PIECE FILM RED. Toei Animation is producing the anime film with Eiichiro Oda.

ONE PIECE FILM RED is set to open in Japanese theaters on August 6, 2022. You can watch over 1,000 episodes of the One Piece TV anime right here on Crunchyroll.
