“Olivia Newton-John’s Daughter Chloe Lattanzi Gives Heartbreaking Speech At Mom’s Australian Memorial

Olivia Newton-John‘s daughter Chloe Lattanzi is lost while trying to adjust to life without her mother…

As you know, the Hollywood icon lost her battle to breast cancer last year and left everyone with an empty space in their hearts. On Sunday, a state memorial was held in Sydney to honor “Australia’s sweetheart” six months after her tragic passing. During the service, Chloe stepped up to pay tribute to her mother and speak about how life has been without her. In her speech, she said:

“My heart is broken in two, the other half is with my mama. I know she’s holding it for me until we meet again.”

The 37-year-old went on to describe her grief as feeling like “a lost girl”:

“I stand here before you so desperately, wanting to feel strong and confident and speak eloquently, but the truth is I feel like a little girl lost without her mother.”

So heartbreaking…

She went on to call the Grease star her “safe space, guide, biggest fan” and “earth beneath my feet” before recalling some of her fondest memories with Olivia. Chloe noted that she and her mother “shared the same cackle”:

“We loved watching our trashy TV shows together and immediately changed the channel when John [Easterling] walked in the room. We pretended we were watching educational shows about plant medicine.”

The singer went on to talk about her mother’s kindness and how she always lifted her up:

“I know she’s here, standing beside me and within me. I can hear her voice, ‘You’re safe, my darling. Don’t be afraid. You’re so much stronger than you think. Speak from your heart. That’s all you have to do.’”

So touching.

During her speech, Chloe said her mother could “find beauty in anything,” recalling some heartwarming moments of her life with Olivia:

“My favorite thing to do was watch her watching the birds and the flowers, smelling her roses and the joy it brought to her face was a thing of beauty. I loved making her tea and then making it five times again until I got it right. I loved our snuggles. I would crawl into bed with her late at night, even until I was 20 years old. I loved the way she smelled, nothing felt safer to me. I loved writing music and singing with her and how she would always notice if I was slightly off-key … I love how she loved fully and completely.”

She was such a precious person and will be dearly missed by so many. Sending love and light to her family and loved ones who are still navigating the huge loss.
