#Old and New Voices Bring Tao and Li to Life in the Shaman King Reboot TV Anime

After being off the screen for nearly 20 years, the official Twitter account of Shaman King announced today that Michiko Neya will be reprising her role as Tao Jun for the upcoming TV anime reboot of the beloved classic series. Tao's traveling undead buddy Li Pyron will be getting a new voice box when he returns from the dead for an April 2021 start on Japanese TV.

 

 

 

 

Lee Pyron will now be voiced by Tooru Sakurai (Imusa in Kuromukuro), replacing Nobutoshi Canna from the original 2001 series.

Shaman King will premiere in April 2021 on TV Tokyo and its affiliates over Japan. The reboot will be directed by Jouji Furuta (The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandment) at anime studio Bridge.
