#Oh, gee, you don’t say vaxxed people won’t need masks outside

Congratulations! You can now go outside without a mask on. Particularly if you’re vaccinated. 

Well, duh. What’s been blindingly obvious to anyone with a brain has reached the ears of President Biden, who made the announcement with great fanfare . . . outside . . . just after taking off the mask he didn’t need. 

Americans are getting tired of the COVID theater. Be safe, absolutely, but show a little common sense. During the Academy Awards, host Regina King said the people in the audience would go maskless during the telecast but wear masks during the commercial breaks. To what end? Everyone in that room was either vaccinated or tested negative. And what — a virus doesn’t spread during acceptance speeches? 

The science has shown that schools aren’t spreaders, yet New York and other big Democratic cities continue to resist returning to full-time in-person learning. Gov. Cuomo will let you eat inside a restaurant, but not just drink — an edict so dumb, Albany lawmakers are looking to overturn it. 

These senseless rules need to be lifted. And, soon, government is going to have to let the vaccinated return to a more normal life and not let those who refuse to be vaccinated rule us.
