“#Official Halo TV Series Trailer Revealed at The Game Awards”
As shown in the recently released trailer above, most of the new footage revealed many of its characters, along with many different locations that the upcoming series will be taking place. Fans around the world were also given another look at Master Chief himself. Although the latest trailer only lasted for about 60 seconds, it seems that there’s still quite a bit of footage that Paramount is currently keeping under wraps. With the release of two teaser clips, and one trailer all happening within a 30 day period, hopefully the second trailer for Halo will reveal tons of more footage in the very near future.
The very first official teaser for the upcoming series was aired last month during Xbox‘s 20th-anniversary celebration stream. The first teaser revealed the first look at an unclothed Master Chief as he’s putting on his Mjolnir Mark VI armor. The second official teaser for Halo gave us a brief glimpse of a large number of UNSC Soldiers and Marines running through a hangar, while also giving us a good look at the iconic vehicles like the Pelicans and Warthogs. Some new Spartans were also shown in the second teaser as it seems everyone is preparing to deploy.
Halo is an upcoming American live-action military science fiction television series based on the video game franchise of the same name. The current synopsis for the series reveals that it will follow “an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant. Halo will weave deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure, and a richly imagined vision of the future.” The Halo series will star Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief Petty Officer John-117, Natascha McElhone as Dr. Catherine Halsey (a scientist for the UNSC, and creator of the Spartan-II Project), Yerin Ha as Kwan Ha, Charlie Murphy as Makee, Shabana Azmi as Admiral Margaret Parangosky (Director of ONI), Bokeem Woodbine as Soren-066, Olive Gray as Miranda Keyes, Kate Kennedy as Kai-125, Natasha Culzac as Riz-028, Bentley Kalu as Vannal-134, Danny Sapani as Captain Jacob Keyes, and Jen Taylor as Cortana (an artificial intelligence AI construct).
With the newest trailer not revealing exact release date, it is still confirmed that Halo will premiere on Paramount+ sometime in 2022. The upcoming television series will consist of a total of 9 episodes with roughly 50-60 minute runtimes. Currently, Halo has an estimated budget of $200 million, with episodes being directed by Otto Bathurst, Jonathan Liebesman, M.J. Bassett, Roel Reine, and Jet Wilkinson. There are reportedly already talks for a second season, but the series has not been given a green light as of yet.
