#NYPD seeks son after Bronx woman found dead

A 59-year-old woman was found dead with a bag over her head at the bottom of the stairs in the Bronx, and police are looking to question her son, cops said Sunday.

Teresita Rosario was found during an NYPD wellness check around 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the basement of her home on Clinton Avenue in Belmont, cops said. She also had two USB cords wrapped around her neck, police sources said.

“They’re thinking it’s a family member who killed her,” a police source said.

Cops were looking to question her 29-year-old son, who has a history of psychiatric problems, the source said. The woman’s daughter asked cops to do a wellness check because she hadn’t heard from her on Friday or Saturday.
