#NYPD probing videos showing cops saying ‘Trump 2020’ over loudspeaker

An NYPD cop repeatedly barked “Trump 2020” over a loudspeaker in Brooklyn on Saturday night in a pair of videos that have led to an internal investigation, police said Sunday.

The first clip starts in the middle of the action, with an unidentified cameraman at the intersection of St. Paul Place and Crooke Ave in Flatbush egging the cop on to “say it again,” prompting an officer to say “Trump 2020” over a patrol-car loudspeaker.

“Go f–k yourself you f–king fascist,” the angry videographer replies at the officer, whose squad car appears to be blocking a crosswalk with two other officers standing next to it.

A second clip shot from a nearby window shows the first videographer storming off, as the officer taunts him on the loudspeaker.

“Trump 2020. Put it on YouTube, put it on Facebook. Trump 2020,” the officer says in the second clip, filmed from above.

“Take a picture, take a video, put it on your Facebook, put it on YouTube. Have some fun,” he says — ending the clip by saying, “Tough guy, tough guy.”

The NYPD strictly forbids officers from expressing political views or endorsing candidates.

“We are aware of this video and it is under investigation by our Brooklyn South Investigation Unit. Police officers must remain apolitical,” the force tweeted Sunday along with the clip that was seen more than 400,000 times by Sunday morning.

“The NYPD plans to come to an expedient resolution,” a spokesperson told The Post.

Chief of Department Terence Monahan also admonished the officer.

When you wear our uniform it is imperative to remain apolitical,” he tweeted Sunday. “Behavior like this will not be tolerated and will be dealt with. An update will be provided to the public.”

The officer was not identified, but his squad car’s license plate was widely shared from the clips.

“He needs to be fired. Not put on leave. Not transferred. This is a firing offense,” one person replied to the force.

“NYPD, helping people understand the calls to defund police one stupid incident at a time,” another said.
