Hook, line and stinker!

NYPD cops nabbed a skunk that was trying to hide among the flowers outside a Tribeca bodega on Sunday morning, video shows.

Tribeca resident Joe Duncan said he was walking his dog around 10:20 a.m. when they both smelled something foul near Morgan’s Market on the corner of Hudson Street and Reade Street.

“When I turned the corner, police were there and confirmed that it was a skunk hiding out behind the flowers,” Duncan told The Post.

Duncan whipped out his phone and recorded as one of the officers used a specialized pole to snatch the critter from behind the storefront display.

Footage showed the office hoist it up and into a dog crate to applause from the several dozen people who had also been lured over by the stench.

“Got him… Nice work! Congrats,” Duncan could be heard saying in the video as one of the cops flashes a thumbs up.

He said the cops told him that they’d rescued skunks before in the Big Apple — but only across the harbor in Staten Island.

“It could’ve come over on the Staten Island Ferry,” Duncan said, adding that more people staying inside during the pandemic may have played a role.

“The other thing is animals could be increasing their range with less people outside.”

Police said they brought the creature to an animal shelter in east Harlem, but things didn’t end well for the skunk.

“They had to put the skunk down,” a police spokesman said, adding that they don’t know why the animal was euthanized.
