“NYC man stabbed in unprovoked subway attack in Queens”

A straphanger was stabbed in the face in an unprovoked rush-hour attack on Friday morning in Queens, police said.

The 62-year-old man was taking the southbound 7 train around 8:40 a.m. when an unknown man attacked him, stabbing him in the hand and face with a knife, cops said.

Cops and EMS met the man at the Queensboro Plaza Station and transported him to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was expected to recover, according to police.

The attacker, believed to be a man in his 30s, remains in the wind.
