#NYC braces for Super Bowl Sunday snowstorm

The Big Apple will be hit with a fresh round of powder Super Bowl Sunday from yet another storm, forecasters said.

The storm is expected to dump as much as six inches of snow in the five boroughs, the National Weather Service said.

Flurries started around dawn but the snow is expected to become heavier in the late morning, forecasters said.

“Snowfall rates around 1 inch per hour are possible for a period during the late morning and early afternoon,” the agency said.

Travel is expected to be impacted ahead of kickoff for the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday evening in Super Bowl LV — potentially derailing watch parties.

“If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency,” the agency warned.

The storm, however, won’t be as powerful as last week’s that left New York blanketed with up to 28 inches of snow.
