Amidst the many changes happening at HBO Max right now, we recently learned that the animated “Batman: Caped Crusader” series from Bruce Timm, J.J. Abrams, and Matt Reeves is not moving forward at the streaming service. However, The Hollywood Reporter’s Borys Kitt took to Twitter shortly after those reports surfaced to make an important clarification.

“BATMAN: CAPED CRUSADER animated series: The show is not cancelled, per sources, just not going to stream on HBO Max. The show is deep in production, nothing is paused. It will show up somewhere.”

So, it seems the show should find another home and probably sooner rather than later. The question is, where? It also seems as though there are no hard feelings as Reeves has signed a huge overall deal with Warner Bros. At the very least, he’s not that mad about it.
