#Rob49 and Lil Wayne share “Wassam Baby”

Louisiana links up for a new collaboration.
Rising Lousiana rap star Rob49 has finally teamed up with the biggest rapper ever produced by the state, Lil Wayne, for a new single called “Wassam Baby.” Over a menacing piano-led trap beat, Rob and Wayne spit their respective games at some girls. In the music video above, watch them hang out together and with an entourage on a soundstage that includes a set very reminiscent of Korn’s “Freak on a Leash” video.
In August, Rob49 shared the deluxe edition of his 2023 project 4God II. He appeared on “Topia Twins,” a song from Travis Scott’s Utopia, released in July (and one of our favorite guest verses of the year). Read his GEN F profile here. Lil Wayne continues to tease his long-awaited album Tha Carter VI, though 2023 saw the release of two other Weezy projects: Tha Fix Before Tha VI and the 2 Chainz collaboration Welcome 2 Collegrove.
