#Nine people shot overnight as spike in NYC gunplay continues

At least nine people were shot across New York City Wednesday and early Thursday, according to the NYPD.

Most recently, a 32-year-old man was blasted in the right leg and left shoulder around 12:50 a.m. at Thatford and Riverdale avenues in Brownsville, cops said.

He was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in stable condition and is described as uncooperative.

The shooting happened during a squabble with another man, who fired at him and ran off, according to cops.

Around 12:15 a.m., another man walked into NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem with multiple gunshot wounds to his body, including his chest, leg and arm, police said.

The victim was uncooperative, so cops do not have any information on where he was shot or the circumstances.

He is listed in stable condition.

About three hours earlier, a 30-year-old man was shot during a squabble on the grounds of the Cypress Hills Houses, cops said.

He is listed in stable condition at Brookdale, and the shooter — who fled south on Fountain Avenue — remains at large.

A total of six shootings with eight victims were reported Wednesday, according to cops.

Two homicides are included in that total. Bertha Arriaga, a 43-year-old mom, was hit in the head by a stray bullet that flew through her Flushing bedroom window around 12:45 a.m.

And a 25-year-old man was killed and two others injured in a drive-by shooting on West 16th Street and Neptune Avenue in Coney Island just before 2 a.m.

On Wednesday’s date last year, only two people were shot in a single incident, cops said.
