The Niigata prefectural government feels that the youth of Japan have been neglecting their daily rice intake so the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has enlisted the help of The Quintessential Quintuplets to promote Niigata rice to the young people of the country as they go through their next stage of life.

Niigata has found that the consumption of rice has gone down, especially with young people as they leave home and start higher education or jobs in bigger cities. So the prefectural government is setting up a campaign with the Nakano sisters to show off the benefits of eating rice for breakfast and throughout the day.
