“Nights With A Cat Premieres August 2022, Reveals Voice Cast & Theme Song Performer”

The upcoming feline centric anime series Nights With A Cat is scheduled to premiere this August 2022. The anime production team also revealed the main voice cast and theme song performer for the series.

The voice cast will consist of Satoshi Hino as Fuuta-kun, Atsumi Tanezaki as Pii-chan, and Ayahi Takagaki as Kyuruga. 

Singer-songwriter Kashitarou Itou will be singing the anime’s theme song. Itou provided a comment on his involvement with the series on the anime’s official Twitter page. The name of the track has yet to be revealed. 

The production team includes Minoru Ashina (Isekai Quartet) as director and scriptwriter, Minoru Takehara (Isekai Quartet) as character designer and animation director, and Kana Utatane (Akebi’s Sailor Uniform) as music composer. Studio PuYUKAI is the animation production company.

An anime announcement for the Nights with a Cat manga was first announced in April 2022. Kyuryu Z first launched the series as a webcomic in December 2019 on their Twitter page. KADOKAWA later published the series on Comic Essay, with three tankoubon volumes released as of May 27, 2022.

Yen Press licenses the series for English in North America. They describe the story as:

When Fuuta comes home tired at night, all he wants to do is spend time with his new cat. All the mysterious habits and mannerisms of house cats are carefully reproduced in this relaxed and cute comedy about living with an adorable furball!
