#Nights with a Cat Announces New 3rd Season
A third season of the Nights with a Cat short anime series has been announced. The anime’s production committee released two announcement visuals featuring the pet cat Kyuruga.
All 60 episodes of the anime’s first two seasons are available to stream on YouTube with English subtitles. The full series playlist can be accessed here.
The second season of Nights with a Cat premiered on March 8, 2023 and concluded on November 15, 2023. The first season aired on Japanese television from August 4, 2022 to September 22, 2022. It was then streamed on YouTube from October 12, 2022 to January 11, 2023.
The anime’s main voice cast includes Satoshi Hino as Fuuta-kun, Atsumi Tanezaki as Pii-chan, and Ayahi Takagaki as Kyuruga.
The anime’s second season retains many staff members from the first season, including Minoru Ashina (Isekai Quartet) as director and screenwriter, Minoru Takehara (Isekai Quartet) as character designer and animation director, and Kana Utatane (Akebi’s Sailor Uniform) as music composer. Studio PuYUKAI is handling the animation production for the series.
Kyuryu Z’s original web manga series began serialization on the author’s Twitter account in December 2019, before being picked up by Kadokawa for publication in Comic Bridge in 2020. Five tankoubon volumes have been released as of July 2023.
Yen Press releases the Nights with a Cat manga series in English, describing the synopsis as:
When Fuuta comes home tired at night, all he wants to do is spend time with his new cat. All the mysterious habits and mannerisms of house cats are carefully reproduced in this relaxed and cute comedy about living with an adorable furball!
