Terrifying new video shows the moment two people are swallowed by a sidewalk that suddenly collapses in southern China — but incredibly, both survived.

The man and woman are walking along Furong Middle Road near the Wujiang Second Bridge in Wulong District Monday when the pavement gives way without warning, the video shows.

The pair was rescued by a team of firefighters and taken to the hospital.

The woman suffered injuries to her foot that was crushed by a stone, while the man had a head injury.

The cause of the collapse is under investigation.
