#NFL Power Rankings for Week 8: Cardinals shake things up

Two more previously unbeaten teams fell in Week 7, but the lone perfect squad is still one rung from the top spot in The Post’s weekly NFL Power Rankings.

The Kansas City Chiefs moved back into the No. 1 position despite their Week 5 loss to Las Vegas, with the 6-0 Pittsburgh Steelers knocking on the door with their highest ranking of the season after holding on for a nail-biter victory Sunday over Tennessee.

The Arizona Cardinals also moved back into the Top 10 with an OT thriller Sunday night over last week’s top-ranked squad, the Seattle Seahawks.

1.Kansas City Chiefs, 6-1 (Last week: 2)

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are the most complete team in the league, rolling to a snowy blowout win in Denver via touchdowns on the ground, through the air, on a pick-six and on a kickoff return. They even got Le’Veon Bell six touches (39 yards) in his team debut ahead of this week’s game as prohibitive favorites against a certain winless team that released him two weeks ago. Next: Sunday vs. Jets

2. Pittsburgh Steelers, 6-0 (3)

The stingy Steelers’ defense has allowed the fewest yards per game in the NFL (286) and leads the league in sacks (26), but Ben Roethlisberger’s season-high three interceptions gave Tennessee a chance to come back from a 20-point second-half deficit before a missed field goal gave Mike Tomlin’s team a 27-24 win and its first 6-0 start since 1978. Next: Sunday at Baltimore

3. Baltimore Ravens, 5-1 (4)

Lamar Jackson and the Ravens should be well-rested coming off their bye week ahead of a blockbuster AFC North battle this week. During their downtime, they added edge rusher Yannick Ngakoue in a trade with Minnesota to an already formidable defensive unit that has allowed an NFL-low 17.3 points per game. Next: Sunday vs. Pittsburgh

4. Seattle Seahawks, 5-1 (1)

Even MVP candidate Russell Wilson can’t be expected to outscore opponents every week, and he couldn’t in Seattle’s first loss of the season Sunday night against Kyler Murray and the Cards. The Seahawks are ranked first in the league in scoring (33.8 ppg) and yardage (425 ypg), but 32nd in total yards (479) and passing yards (368) per game. Next: Sunday vs. San Francisco

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 5-2 (6)

As Bill Belichick and the Patriots plummet in the rankings, Tom Brady’s new team continued its rise with a thorough 45-20 dismantling of the Raiders. Brady found fellow ex-Patriot Rob Gronkowski for a TD for the second straight week. They are tied with Steve Young and Jerry Rice for the second-most prolific scoring duo in NFL history (92 TDs), behind only Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison (114). Next: Monday at Giants

6. Green Bay Packers, 5-1 (7)

Aaron Rodgers insisted the previous week’s clunker against Tampa Bay was an anomaly, and the Pack got back on track despite Aaron Jones’ absence (calf) in Sunday’s win over Houston. Rodgers hooked up with Davante Adams for 196 of his 283 passing yards and two of his four TD throws. Next: Sunday vs. Minnesota

7. Tennessee Titans, 5-1 (5)

Former Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski rebounded nicely from five missed kicks in the season opener with eight straight successful field goals over the next three weeks. Now, he’s missed three of four FGAs the past two games, including a pushed potential game-tying attempt (46 yards) in the closing seconds of Sunday’s loss to Pittsburgh, the Titans’ first of the season. Next: Sunday at Cincinnati

8. New Orleans Saints, 4-2, (9)

Drew Brees and the Saints continue to grind it out offensively without record-setting receiver Michael Thomas, who hasn’t played since Week 1 due to ankle and hamstring injuries and a fight in practice. Running back Alvin Kamara has averaged 151.4 yards from scrimmage over the past five games. Next: Sunday at Chicago

9. Arizona Cardinals, 5-2 (12)

After Murray outdueled and outlasted Wilson on Sunday night, the 2019 No. 1-overall pick now is on pace for over 4,000 passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards, a combo even Lamar Jackson didn’t achieve last season. Murray has had at least one passing TD and one rushing TD in all but one of his seven appearances. Next: Bye

10. Los Angeles Rams, 5-2 (11)

The Rams became the third NFC West team to five wins through seven weeks, with the 49ers just one behind in the best division in football. Aaron Donald and LA’s defense knocked Nick Foles and the Bears back into our second 10 with a 24-10 victory Monday night in Inglewood. Next: Sunday at Miami

11. Buffalo Bills, 5-2 (10)

13. Cleveland Browns, 5-2 (13)

13. Chicago Bears, 5-2 (8)

14. Indianapolis Colts, 4-2 (14)

15. San Francisco 49ers, 4-3 (17)

16. Las Vegas Raiders, 3-3 (15)

17. Miami Dolphins, 3-3 (19)

18. Detroit Lions, 3-3 (22)

19. Carolina Panthers, 3-4 (18)

20. Denver Broncos, 2-4 (21)

21. New England Patriots, 2-4 (16)

22. Philadelphia Eagles, 2-4-1 (23)

23. Los Angeles Chargers, 2-4 (26)

24. Washington Football Team, 2-5 (31)

25. Dallas Cowboys, 2-5 (20)

26. Cincinnati Bengals, 1-5-1 (24)

27. Minnesota Vikings, 1-5 (27)

28. Houston Texans, 1-6 (25)

29. Giants, 1-6 (29)

Yes, Joe Judge’s Giants have lost six of seven, yet they somehow are a couple of late blown leads against Dallas and Philadelphia from being in first place in the lowly NFC East. Daniel Jones’ propensity for turnovers is a far bigger worry than his stumble and face plant on an 80-yard burst. Next: Monday vs. Tampa Bay

30. Jacksonville Jaguars, 1-6 (28)

31. Atlanta Falcons, 1-6 (30)

32. Jets, 0-7 (32)

With Sam Darnold back, Adam Gase yielding play-calling duties to offensive coordinate Dowell Loggains and a mostly stout defensive effort, Gang Green actually kept things closer than expected against the Bills. Of course, then they unfathomably managed only four yards of offense — four! — in the second half, keeping the Trevor Lawrence Watch firmly in play. Next: Sunday at Kansas City
