#New Yu-Gi-Oh! Anime Shorts from KONAMI animation Premiere in April 2025

February saw the release of Yu-Gi-Oh! CARD GAME THE CHRONICLES, an animated promotion video commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game. That short anime was produced by the then-newly announced KONAMI Animation (with assistance from J.C.STAFF and AtoriE), and a new announcement reveals that the studio is producing a whole series of Yu Gi Oh! CARD GAME THE CHRONICLES shorts, which will be released monthly on the Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG YouTube channel starting in April 2025.

A teaser trailer for the short anime series, which features a very familiar tune, and two key visuals were also released.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! CARD GAME THE CHRONICLES anime from February had Takashi Kaiga as chief director. Its director/storyboard artist credits include:

• Aoi Fudeo (Vspo! Bunka Taiikusai Animation PV key animator)
• Junya Tanaka (Vspo! “Mr.Music” in-between animator et al.)
• Yuuto Nakawada (Tomo-chan Is A Girl! Episode 5, 6, and 8 co-animation director)
• Seiya Miyajima (Yuki Yuna is a Hero Churutto! director)
• Atsushi Tsujimoto (Reign of the Seven Spellblades opening animation co-storyboard artist and director)
• Ken Takahashi 

Credited as character designers and animation directors were Takahiro Sasaki (Chronicles of the Going Home Club character designer), Kazuto Wakayama (Saga of Tanya the Evil: The Movie co-animation director), You Morimoto (Vspo! “Mr.Music”), Nobuyoshi Nishimura (Reign of the Seven Spellblades opening animation action-animation director), and Yoshihiro Nagamori (Bayblade X character designer, The Apothecary Diaries co-sub character designer). The animation producers were:
