RESTOCK ALERT: As of Nov. 2, the Nintendo Switch Animal Crossing: New Horizons Edition system ($299.99) is back in stock at Best Buy, Target, , and .
Still looking for the ever-elusive Nintendo Switch Animal Crossing: New Horizons Edition? Your patience has paid off.
First released back in March, the special-edition version of the bestselling hybrid console promptly sold out everywhere thanks to the immense hype surrounding the game itself. The Mashable Shopping team saw it come back in stock a couple of times in the few months afterward, only to disappear in minutes. (That was often the case with the standard Switch and Switch Lite consoles, too.)
But then just in time for New Horizons’ highly anticipated fall update — pumpkin patches! Costumes! — Nintendo announced Sept. 25 that it was (finally) bringing the ACNH Switch back with an official restock.

The console comes with pastel blue and green Joy-Cons in addition to a New Horizons-inspired system dock that features a cute illustration of Tom, Tommy, and Timmy Nook. (Note: The game itself is sold separately unless you manage to get your hands on one of these three GameStop bundles.) Spec-wise, it’s just like the regular Switch in that it offers 32GB of internal storage space, a 1280 x 720 multitouch display, and a battery life of up to nine hours.
As of Nov. 2, the system is still up for grabs at most major retailers:
