Gov. Andrew Cuomo has ordered residents from three more hot-spot states for the coronavirus to quarantine for 14 days when entering New York to help curb the spread of the killer bug.

Delaware, Kansas and Oklahoma are now among 19 states that are part of the travel advisory for community spread of COVID-19.

Under New York’s metrics, states with a positive test rate higher than 10 per 100,000 residents over a seven-day average, or a 10 percent infection rate of those tested over seven consecutive days.

“As states around the country experience increasing community spread, New York is taking action to ensure the continued safety of our phased reopening,” Cuomo said Tuesday.

Cuomo said he hopes his travel advisory will prevent COVID-19 from exploding at high rates again after the COVID-19 crisis hammered New York during a grueling spring.

Other states on the travel advisory list are Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nevada, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Utah.

The governor said said 10 people with COVID-19 died in hospitals and nursing homes Monday.

The state counts nearly 25,000 COVID-19 deaths and nearly 400,000 who were infected.

Cuomo’s office said 836 New Yorkers were in hospitals for the viral infection Monday — up 19 from Sunday.

Of the 56,736 tests conducted in New York State Monday yesterday, 588, or 1.04 percent, were positive for COVID-19.
