The official Twitter account of “One Piece” recently published a new trailer for the cinematic strip including visual.

«One Piece Film Red»which will be released in Japanese cinemas on August 6th, features a new protagonist Uta to the foreground. Accordingly, the film will take place on the island of Elegia, where the daughter of the infamous red-haired pirate Shanks wants to give her first live concert.

The film is again being made at the Toei Animation studio. Gorou Taniguchi takes the director’s chair this time. Since 1998, the director has returned to directing a “One Piece” film. The screenplay was penned by Tsutomu Kuroiwa. As in the penultimate One Piece film spin-off, One Piece Film Gold, Masayuki Sato is responsible for character design. Tsunetaka Oma («Made in Abyss») will do the camerawork.

Top-class voices

The «One Piece Film Red» strip has a lot to offer, especially musically. For example, the diva Uta is embodied by the singer Ado. But musician Yusutaka Nakata will also swing the baton for the latest film. Musically, he already supported the franchise in “One Piece Film Gold” by contributing the title song. It is not yet known when “One Piece Film Red” will be released in Germany and the rest of the world. The anime is currently being produced by the provider KAZÉ Anime (now renamed) released on DVD and Blu-ray. The manga, which now has more than 100 volumes in Germany, is published by Carlsen Manga.
