A new trailer has been released for the upcoming anime adaptation of NISIOISIN’s Pretty Boy Detective Club mystery novels. Additionally, new cast and staff members have been unveiled. The anime is set to premiere on April 10.

The trailer previews the meeting between protagonist Mayumi Dojima and the blue-haired Manabu Soutouin, who introduces Mayumi to the titular Pretty Boy Detective Club. Also previewed is the opening song “Shake ＆ Shake” by sumika.

The newly announced staff members are Hiroki Yamamura (Fate/EXTRA Last Encore) as character designer and chief animation director, Kenjirou Okada (Fate/EXTRA Last Encore episode director) as assistant director, Tomoyasu Hosoi (Cells at Work!!) as art director, Yasuko Watanabe (Koyomimonoagtari) as color designer, Takayuki Aizu (Fate/EXTRA Last Encore) as photography director, Rie Matsubara (Kemono Jihen) as editor, Toshiki Kameyama (Non Non Biyori Nonstop) as sound director, and Masatomo Oota and EFFY as music composers.

Meanwhile, the newly announced cast members are Maaya Sakamoto as Mayumi, Hiroki Nanami as Rei, and Kousuke Toriumi as Rai Fudatsuki.

Akiyuki Shinbo (Fate/EXTRA Last Encore) is the chief director for the anime, with Shaft in charge of the animation production. Previously revealed cast members include Ayumu Murase as Manabu, Taito Ban as Nagahiro Sakiguchi, Toshiki Masuda as Michiru Fukurui, Shougo Yano as Hyouta Ashikaga, and Gen Satou as Sousaku Yubiwa.

The Pretty Boy Detective Club novels, which feature illustrations from Kinako, began in 2015 and ended in 2019 with 11 volumes. The novels also received a five-volume manga adaptation from 2016 to 2019.
