HipHopDX

The latest edition of HipHopDX’s New Music Friday coverage is somewhat of a sound clash extravaganza.

Leading the way, days after what would’ve been his 26th birthday is the estate of late rapper Lil Peep with the reissued posthumous release of his early fan-favorite hit “Flannel.” Trending Warner Records signee NLE Choppa also reflects on his 20th birthday with the release of his “Ice Spice (Munch)” single, and also provides support to Grammy Award-winning rapper Macklemore for his earnest anthem “Faithful.”

Popular, and recently disbanded, rap hyper-collective BROCKHAMPTON joins forces once again for their explicit banger “Big P*ssy” while New York rapper Vado stages a re-entrance of his own into the limelight by delivering his kinetic new effort “Fast Life” effort featuring contributions from Lloyd Banks and Dave East.

Check out the full list of singles released on Friday (November 4), below.

Lil Peep – “Flannel”

Gustav Elijah Åhr, lovingly known by his loyal listeners as both Gus and his stage name, Lil Peep, unfortunately passed away nearly five years ago on November 15. However, his popularity has stood the test of time as the “Beamer Boy” rapper’s current Spotify monthly listeners tally swells beyond 13 million users.

The estate of Lil Peep has elected to celebrate Peep’s 26th birthday with the release of his breakout 2015 track “Flannel,” which once again highlights his genre-bending affinity for crafting hybrid emo-pop rap anthems.

NLE Choppa – “Ice Spice (Munch)”

Even though Bronx-bred rapper “Ice Spice” is from the East Coast, “Too Hot” lyricist NLE Choppa is bringing an intense Southern flare to his new radio-ready slap.

Connecting with his fellow Memphis native, platinum producer Tay Keith, Choppa manifests his own “Munch” flows on his new rap-heavy masterwork.

BROCKHAMPTON – “Big P*ssy”

Following the January announcement of the “indefinite hiatus” of BROCKHAMPTON as the band, it has been increasingly unclear when, or if the monstrous collective would return.

To the delight of their fans, BROCKHAMPTON shares their new track “Big P*ssy” on the heels of the announcement of their upcoming The Family album and recent release “I Miss The Band Already.”

Macklemore f. NLE Choppa – “Faithful”

Macklemore is coming to terms with his demons with the help of none other than “Shotta Flow” rapper NLE Choppa.

Breaking down the trauma from his publicized relapse and recovery saga, the “Thrift Shop” MC opens up on “Faithful.”

38 Spesh & Harry Fraud f. Stove God Cooks – “Speshal”

Multi-hyphenate talent 38 Spesh has announced his upcoming Harry Fraud-helmed Beyond Belief album.

To give fans a taste of what’s to come, Spesh follows his recent “7 Shots” record with his Stove God Cooks-assisted “Speshal” collaboration.

DCG Brothers – “The Biggest”

Chicago’s blood-related rap duo DCG Brothers are on the rise.

To commemorate the meteoric moment they are living thru right now, DCG Shun and DCG Bsavv bring their listeners along on a behind-the-scenes look at their Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash performance, and misadventures with their fellow Chi-Town affiliates PGF Nuk and Lil Zay Osama.

Vado f. Lloyd Banks – “Plain Sight”

Harlem rapper Vado is gearing up to release his upcoming LP Long Run Vol. 3.

To help boost the anticipation of the record, the veteran lyricist recruits former G-Unit rapper Lloyd Banks and Dave East for his “Fast Life” single.

SpotemGottEm – “Block Got Hot”

Lil Nei f. Big Flock – “Back”

Kenny Muney – “King Pin”

FN Da Dealer f. Rylo Rodriguez – “OK”

Lil Maru – “High”

KT Foreign f. Verde Babii – “Stompin”

Lil Zay Osama f. P1 – “Down Bad”
