“Netflix Releases Ultraman Season 2’s 1st Three Minutes”

Netflix has uploaded the first three minutes of Ultraman Season 2 on YouTube ahead of the series’ April 14 release on the streaming platform.

The clip begins with a mysterious incident that sees multiple people disappearing, with the event later being brought up during a conversation between Shinjirou Hayata and Rena Sayama. The clip ends with a scene of Kotaro Higashi/Ultraman Taro being greeted at the airport by his girlfriend, Izumi.

Ultraman Season 2 is arriving three years after the first Ultraman season, which was released in 2019. Netflix describes the plot as:

The series centers on the son of Ultraman, Shinjiro Hayata, and the six heroes (ULTRAMAN, SEVEN, ACE, ZOFFY, JACK, TARO) who carry on the tradition of the legendary 6 Ultra Brothers. Together, they face the schemes of aliens on a cosmic scale.

Kotaro Higashi, a young photographer, encounters a mysterious missing persons case. He takes a photo proving that it was the work of aliens and brings it to the SSSP with his girlfriend Izumi. However, a certain incident transforms him into a superhuman with incredible fiery superpowers.

Then, a massive cosmic weapon appears before the human-sized Ultraman…

The returning staff from Season 1 include Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki as director and Nobuko Toda and Kazuma Jinnouchi as music composers. This time, Hiroki Uchiyama is joining as series director. Production I.G and SOLA DIGITAL ARTS are again co-producing the show.
