The streaming service Netflix announced on Wednesday night that the rights to the “Sailor Moon Eternal” film series had been secured and that they would be published on the platform.

“Sailor Moon Eternal” is a two-part film series and continues “Sailor Moon Crystal” with films. The two movies adapt the “Dead Moon” arc, which saves a fourth season in the end.

Both films are to be released on June 3, 2021 on Netflix under the title “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal: The Film”, including with German dubbing.

Toei Animation and Studio DEEN are responsible for the two films. The first film has a running time of around 80 minutes and was shown in Japan in January of this year. The second film followed a month later.
