#Netflix Releases Full Parasyte The Grey Trailer

Netflix has released a full-length trailer for the upcoming Parasyte The Grey live-action series, which debuts on the platform on April 5. A teaser trailer and visual were released earlier this month.

Parasyte: The Grey is a South Korean adaptation of the  Parasyte manga by Hitoshi Iwaaki. The characters include Jeong Su-in (Jeon So-nee), a girl has to coexist with a parasite; Seol Kang-woo (Koo Kyo-hwan), a man who is tracking down parasites in order to find his sister; and Choi Jun-kyung (Lee Jung-hyun), the leader of a counter-parasite group called Team Grey.

The Kodansha-published manga was serialized from 1988 to 1995 and initially collected into 10 tankoubon volumes. A TV anime adaptation directed by Kenichi Shimizu (All Out!) and produced by Madhouse ran from 2014 to 2015 with 24 episodes. A two-part Japanese live action movie was released in 2014 and 2015.

A spin-off titled Parasyte Reversi ran from 2018 to 2021 and was collected into eight tankoubon volumes.

Kodansha USA describes the original manga as:

They arrive in silence and darkness. They descend from the skies. They have a hunger for human flesh. They are everywhere. They are parasites, alien creatures who must invade—and take control of—a human host to survive. And once they have infected their victims, they can assume any deadly form they choose: monsters with giant teeth, winged demons, creatures with blades for hands. But most have chosen to conceal their lethal purpose behind ordinary human faces. So no one knows their secret—except an ordinary high school student. Shin is battling for control of his own body against an alien parasite, but can he find a way to warn humanity of the horrors to come?
