“#Netflix Ghost in the Shell Character Designer Pens Labels for Trio of Sake Brews”

Anime- and game-inspired sake is a cool way to show appreciation for your favorite shows (above the legal age, of course). One of the latest shows to get its own brew is Netflix’s Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045. And for this project, series character designer Ilya Kuvshinov was enlisted to bring his signature style to the trio of labels.
Hailing from online store KURAND, the sake line is inspired the the concept of “sake you’ll want to drink after battle.” It’s then further expanded into three blends: one each for Major Motoko Kusanagi, Batou, and the Tachikoma.
The Motoko Kusanagi blend is described as a perfect sake to enjoy with meals, made to high standards and with a distinctive ginjo sake flavor:
The Batou blend is bold with a sharp flavor, and goes well with highly seasoned dishes:
And the Tachikoma blend is refreshing and fruity, with the aroma of apple and the natural sweetness of rice:
All three are currently available for pre-order for 3,500 yen (about $33). Bottles will start shipping at the end of March, and all orders will come with a sticker featuring the blend’s respective character as drawn by Kuvshinov. Order befor March 26 to get the special pre-order version sticker.
