#Netflix Debuts Blood of Zeus Season 2 on May 9

Netflix has released a new trailer for the upcoming second season of Blood of Zeus, which will debut on the streaming service May 9, 2024. 

The trailer highlights the protagonist Heron, who must deal with the loss of his father, Zeus, and the ensuing power struggle for his throne. 

The first 8-episode season premiered on Netflix October 27, 2020. Powerhouse Animation Studio is the animation production company, and is working on the second season as well. 

Brad Graeber, Michael Hughes, Vlas Parlapanides, and Charley Parlapanides are credited as the executive producers for the series. 

Meanwhile, the main voice cast includes Derek Phillips as Heron, Claudia Christian as Hera, and Elias Toufexis as Seraphim. 

Netflix describes the second season’s synopsis as: 

Following Zeus’ demise, a power vacuum emerges amongst the gods, leaving Heron, Zeus’ demigod son, struggling to find his place. He is racked with loss and hears a mysterious refrain in his dreams, prodding him to save his brother, Seraphim, who is suffering the terrors of the Underworld. Unbeknownst to Heron, Hades is trying to enlist Seraphim to help him secure Zeus’ vacant throne and save his family from their long standing suffering.
