Necromancer Isekai Anime Gets Licensed by REMOW, Reveals Cast

REMOW has announced its global licensing (outside of Japan) of the upcoming Necromancer Isekai: How I Went from Abandoned Villager to the Emperor’s Favorite (Mukuwarenakatta Murabito A, Kizoku ni Hirowarete Dekiaisareru Ue ni, Jitsu wa Motteita Densetsu-kyuu no Kami Skill mo Kakusei shita) anime

The show’s cast was also announced. They include:

• Maaya Uchida as Matteo
• Yuki Yomichi as Ishutar
• Sayako Tojo as Hecate
• Mei Igarashi as Metis

Necromancer Isekai: How I Went from Abandoned Villager to the Emperor’s Favorite is based on the light novel series written by Nazuna Miki and illustrated by Kumo Suzume. The premise is described as:

Matteo was once just a villager, but he was reborn as the grandson of Laurence, a

powerful nobleman who dotes on him.

Matteo possesses powerful magical abilities and quickly hatches an ancient dragon egg,

winning the dragon’s loyalty. He names the dragon Eva.

He easily pulls out a sword that no one else can pull out and sucks in magical power to

create the most powerful sword ever made.

The emperor he meets loves and adores Matteo, but the emperor has a secret.

He’s clever, strong, cute, and as good as you’d expect!

The doted-upon life of the strongest nobleman, affirmed by all, is about to begin!

The light novel series began in 2021 and has seven volumes as of May 2024. The series is published under Shueisha’s Dash X Bunko label and has a manga adaptation by Suzume Kumo.

The story began as a Shousetsuka ni Narou web novel in 2020.
