#Bob Saget Remembered by Heartbroken Full House Stars

Because Bob Saget was such a beloved comedian, his passing has left many feeling saddened. Among those feeling especially heartbroken are his longtime friends he’d spent years working with on Full House and its spinoff series Fuller House. John Stamos, who played Uncle Jesse on the series, expressed how “gutted” he felt by the news with a post to Twitter. This clearly hit very hard for Stamos who has stayed very close with Saget ever since their Full House days.

“I am broken,” Stamos said. “I am gutted. I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby.”

Dave Coulier, the third part of the trio, also posted a message online. The Uncle Joey actor said, “My heart is broken. I love you, Bob. Your forever brother, Dave.”

“I don’t know what to say,” adds Saget’s TV daughter Candace Cameron Bure, who played DJ Tanner-Fuller. “I have no words. Bob was one of the best human beings I’ve ever known in my life. I loved him so much.”

“We are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today. He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter,” Saget’s family told The Hollywood Reporter. “Though we ask for privacy at this time, we invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter that Bob brought to the world.”

Bob Saget has long been known as America’s Dad because of his starring role on Full House as family patriarch Danny Tanner. Many of the sitcom’s episodes would end with Danny’s heartfelt talks with his daughters, played by Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. For many who remember growing up with the show, Danny served as a father figure who taught many of life’s important lessons. Saget reprised the role for the Netflix spinoff show Fuller House.

Anyone who watched television in the 90s will also remember Saget’s days as the host of America’s Funniest Home Videos. This gig was about as squeaky clean as comedy can get, and it was a far cry from the type of material Saget liked to deliver on stage. After leaving the family friendly TV shows and focusing on his standup, Saget would come to be more known for his raunchy brand of humor. One example of that comes from the documentary The Aristocrats, which featured a wide variety of famous comedians telling different versions of the same joke. By far, Saget’s was the filthiest, stunning many who’d only known him from Full House.

From his G-rated humor to the more mature jokes he’d say during his act, Saget has been making millions laugh for the past several decades. It’s clear just how badly he will be missed from the amount of love he’s been getting online. Rest in peace, Bob Saget.
