#’NCIS’: Fornell Has a New Uniform in His Search for the Opioid Kingpin (PHOTOS)

What exactly has Tobias Fornell (Joe Spano) been doing for the two weeks he asked Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) to give them for the search for the opioid kingpin? Presumably he’s been undercover.

As we’ve seen thus far in NCIS Season 18, Fornell is very determined to take down the ring that supplied the drugs that nearly killed his daughter. In the premiere, the two of them tried to track down the “errand boy” involved and, by the end of it, Fornell did have eyes on him — his dead body, that is. He took a keychain out of the boy’s pocket before telling Gibbs to check back in with him in two weeks. “I promise you, everything’s going to make sense,” Fornell insisted.

That two weeks should be up in the Dec. 8 episode, “Blood and Treasure,” since a week had passed in the previous one, “Everything Starts Somewhere.” And as the photos show, it looks like Fornell is undercover staking out a burger joint. What exactly will he have to tell Gibbs?

Elsewhere in the episode, the team’s case leads them to the world of modern-day treasure hunting after two dead bodies are found in a forest. Scroll down for a look at that and Gibbs and Fornell’s ongoing mission.
