The official teaser site for the forthcoming all-new anime feature film based on Takehiko Inoue’s basketball-themed sports manga Slam Dunk is updated today with a new teaser visual featuring the five members of Shohoku High School who are forming a circle.

The film, written and directed by the original manga author Inoue himself, is now set to be released in Japan in the fall of 2022. Toei Animation, the company produced the TV anime series that was aired for 101 episodes from 1993 to 1996, again works on anime production. While its official title has not yet been decided, the film’s first teaser trailer posted on YouTube on August 13 has been already viewed more than 1.2 million times in three days.
