#My Hero Academia Season 5 Release Date Announced, New Preview Trailer

During Jump Fest 2021, the release date for My Hero Academia Season 5 was confirmed for March 27, 2021. A new PV has been revealed alongside the announcement. The new season will cover the “Joint Training” arc between Class 1-A and Class 1-B.

Based on the manga written by Kōhei Horikoshi, the series is published in the Weekly Shonen Jump in Japan and in English on Viz Media’s Shonen Jump and Manga Plus by Shueisha.

The anime’s first season originally premiered in April 2016. The fourth and most recent season premiered in October 2019. Crunchyroll and Funimation are streaming the series.

Crunchyroll has described My Hero Academia as:

Izuku has dreamt of being a hero all his life—a lofty goal for anyone, but especially challenging for a kid with no superpowers. That’s right, in a world where eighty percent of the population has some kind of super-powered “quirk,” Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that’s not enough to stop him from enrolling in one of the world’s most prestigious hero academies.
