#MuMu from MuuMuu Anime Reveals 1st Trailer

The MuMu from MuuMuu TV anime (formerly titled Me and the Alien MuuMuu in English) has received its first trailer. Main staff and additional cast members were also revealed.

Tomoya Takahashi (Sailor Moon Cosmos) is directing the series at OLM with Keiichiro Ochi (The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses) as series composer and Kenji Ota (Pon no Michi) as character designer. The newly announced cast members include:

• Yasuyuki Kase as Decimaru
• Gakuto Kajiwara as Akihiro Tsurumi
• Yuriko Hibi as Miwa Samezu
• Hidenobu Kiuchi as Wataru Tenkubashi
• Kentaro Kumagai as Tamotsu Rokugo
• Yukiyo Fujii as Sonoko Hanazuki

MuMu from MuuMuu is based on the manga by Hiroki Miyashita, which is currently serialized in Shonengahosha’s Young King Ours and has seven volumes as of May 2024. The anime is described as:

A cat-like alien from a distant galaxy, MuMu, arrives on Earth. His goal is to learn about home appliance technology on Earth to recover the technology his species has lost. The protagonist, Sakurako, has a typical university life, but everything changes with  MuMu’s arrival! What begins as an unexpected cohabitation quickly turns into a whirlwind of chaotic events. The chemistry between Sakurako and MuMu leads to a  super-spectacular, appliance-filled, and cat comedy adventure. 

MuMu from MuuMuu will air in 2025.
