#Mugen Train in Southeast Asia

Video-streaming site Viu announced on Facebook that the Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train film will be available on the site for Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia from June 16 onwards. Bilibili made a similar announcement, with the film dropping on the same day as Viu for Southeast Asia.

A sequel to the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba series, Mugen Train was released in various SEA countries from late 2020 to early 2021, and screened in North America on April 23 this year. It premiered in Japan in October 2020. The film is the top-grossing film in Japan as well as the #1 highest-grossing film of 2020. 

The second season of the series is slated to premiere in 2021, with Ufotable returning to animate the series. The franchise is based on the manga series by Koyoharu Gotōge.

Tanjiro and the group have completed their rehabilitation training at the Butterfly Mansion, and they arrive to their next mission on the Mugen Train, where over 40 people have disappeared in a very short period of time.

Tanjiro and Nezuko, along with Zenitsu and Inosuke, join one of the most powerful swordsmen within the Demon Slayer Corps, Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, to face the demon aboard the Mugen Train on track to despair.

Meanwhile, Aniplex of America describes the first season as: 

It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself. Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a “demon slayer” so that he can turn his sister back into a human, and kill the demon that massacred his family.
