You ever try to grab your umbrella and end up with a shoehorn instead? Motoharu Igarashi does.

The Play It Cool, Guys star is up to his usual clumsiness in a new key visual advertising the second cour of the series. The character, voiced by Makoto Furukawa, finds himself shorthanded on a rainy day… unless he needs to put on some tight shoes.

The series begins its second cour tomorrow, January 9.

Based on the manga by Kokone Nata, Play It Cool, Guys is being directed by Chiaki Kon (Golden Time, The Way of the Househusband) at Studio Pierrot, with series composition by Makoto Uezu (KONOSUBA -God’s blessing on this wonderful world!), character designs and chief animation direction by Eri Taguchi (Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! key animator), and music by Masato Nakayama (My Little Monster).

The first cour of the anime is currently available to stream on Crunchyroll, which describes the series like so:

At first glance, these guys look cool and handsome.

You want to get closer to them… but then you realize they’re all clumsy!

They forget their wallets, turn on their music on the train without putting their headphones in, put on glasses when they have their contacts in, stab bendy straws backwards into drinks, walk around with a shoehorn that they thought was an umbrella…

Despite being so clumsy, these guys never forget to play it cool. We’ve collected snippets from their daily lives where they do their clumsy best into 15-minute segments, and we’ll be bringing you two cours!

Once you see them in this clumsy comedy that’ll heal your soul with laughter, you’ll probably fall in love with them, too.
