The horror world of Junji Ito is coming to life again in next year’s Netflix anime series Junji Ito Maniac: Tales of the Macabre, which is adapting multiple short stories from the award-winning creator’s vast catalog. Today, more of the cast of “The Strange Hikizuri Siblings: The Séance” adaptation, which hails from the fifth chapter of the 13th volume of the Horror World of Junji Ito collections, were revealed on the series’ official website.

The new cast members for “The Strange Hikizuri Siblings: The Séance” join the already revealed Takahiro Sakurai (Giyu Tomioka in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) as Kazuya Hikizuri and Romi Park (Hange Zoë in Attack on Titan) as Kiko Hizukuri.

Hajime Iijima (Gakushu in Ikki Tousen) as Shigoro, the second son

Risa Shimizu (Angelica in Show by Rock!!) as Narumi, the second daughter

Ayaka Asai (Monica in Black Rock Shooter: Dawn Fall) as Hitoshi, the third son

Tomoko Kaneda (Chiyo Mihama in Azumanga Daioh) as Misako, the third daughter

Look for Junji Ito Maniac: Tales of the Macabre to premiere on Netflix sometime in 2023. Ito’s work previously inspired the Junji Ito Collection anime in 2018, and an adaptation of his Uzumaki manga is currently in the works for Adult Swim.
