The official YouTube channel for the four-member Japanese rock band mol-74 has posted a full music video for their new song “Replica,” which is now used as the ED theme for the TV anime adaptation of Tsubasa Yamaguchi’s coming-of-age manga Blue Period.
The band was formed in 2010 and made their major debut from SME Records in April 2019 with their first album “mol-74.”“Replica” is their second anime theme song work following “Answers,” which was released in March 2021 as the 15th ED theme for the TV anime BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS. The song will be included in their third EP of the same name to be released on November 24, 2021.
“Replica” expresses the band’s message of “Changing the world by yourself, not by expecting someone else to do it for you.” Its music video tells a story of the protagonist who lives his life connected to countless “strings” that represent common sense and ties, and how she and her friends gain freedom from the world where she has been living like a puppet.

The TV anime Blue Period premiered in Japan on October 1, 2021, and Netflix has been streaming it worldwide since October 9.
