#MJ Lenderman announces live album

MJ Lenderman has announced a new live LP. And the Wind (Live and Loose!) is scheduled to arrive November 17th via ANTI-. And its lead single — a concert recording of his 2022 Boat Songs cut “You Have Bought Yourself a Boat” — is out now alongside a music video.

Lenderman tends to play the vast majority of the instruments on his studio recordings, but realizing his full-band arrangements in a live setting required additional sets of hands. For these, he recruited guitarist Jon Samuels and drummer Colin Miller, as well as his Wednesday bandmates Ethan Baechtold (bass) and Xandy Chelmis (pedal steel), a lineup that creates a sound that is, indeed, looser and liver.
