Democratic nominee Joe Biden will appear at a CNN town hall on Thursday evening designed to resemble a drive-in amid the coronavirus pandemic.
In an election first, the septuagenarian candidate will front a field of cars in a parking lot at PNC Field in Moosic, Penn., in a bid to keep voters socially distanced, according to a report from the cable network.
Thirty-five cars will file into the parking lot where a stage has been assembled for Biden and moderator Anderson Cooper. A total of 100 people will be in attendance.
Voters at the town hall will be able to sit in their car and tune to an FM radio station to listen to Biden and Cooper, just like a drive-in movie which have exploded in popularity during COVID-19.
It will be the former veep’s first prime-time town hall since he became the Democratic nominee in August.
President Trump was grilled by undecided voters during his own town hall in Philadelphia on Tuesday evening with ABC’s George Stephanopolous.
