Footage taken by a bystander showed a creep on top of a 25-year-old woman around 11 a.m. Saturday at the Lexington Avenue and East 63 Street station — without anyone physically intervening to help her.
“This piece of s–t knocked this woman down and started to f–king try to rape her while motherf–kers didn’t do shit. They filmed f–king s–t,” Rapaport said in a video posted to Twitter.
“If you see something, don’t do something, film it so you have good home videos,” he added.
But NYPD Chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison praised the rider who recorded the horrifying ordeal.
The bystander was able to shoot the assailant, who was later identified by cops as 31-year-old Jose Reyes, he said at a press conference announcing the arrest Sunday.
“This heinous and horrendous act was interrupted by a good Samaritan who observed Mr. Reyes’ behavior and got him to cease his behavior while subsequently videotaping the incident,” Harrison said.
Reyes allegedly fled the scene, but he was nabbed by authorities Sunday on charges of attempted rape, assault and harassment.
