#Mets announcer Gary Cohen torches ‘disgusting’ Skyline Chili

“#Mets announcer Gary Cohen torches ‘disgusting’ Skyline Chili”
There are few things Mets broadcaster Gary Cohen seems to detest more than Skyline Chili.
A Cincinnati “local delicacy,” Skyline Chili consists of chili, beans, onions and cheese over noodles. It came under fire during Cohen’s SNY broadcast with Ron Darling Monday night as the Mets took on the Reds.
“The 5-Way with the spaghetti and the beans and the cheese — first the disgusting chili gravy. … After the onions comes the cheese, and that’s what makes it the 5-Way. There’s the cheese — they put like 10 tons of shredded cheese on there,” Cohen said.
“And this is supposed to be food that you actually eat.”
“I would recommend – you need to try everything once. OK? What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Try it once, and then you’ll never eat it again,” Cohen said.

Darling and Cohen were broadcasting the Mets’ 15-11 triumph over the Reds in 11 innings remotely — a safe distance away from the Ohio-based delicacy.
