Previously set for 2022, strategy fans are going to have to wait a bit longer to dive into the cartoon warfare of Metal Slug Tactics. Publisher Dotemu hopped on Twitter to say that the game needs a little more time before it’s ready, so it’s being pushed back to sometime in 2023.

Metal Slug Tactics takes SNK’s classic side-scrolling run and gun arcade series and turns it into an isometric tactical RPG. Here’s a trailer from last year:
